Lombardo & DeVellis LLP has had a very busy
opening two months in business, from real
estate transactions to appellate tax board
filings…
L&D acted as special real estate counsel in
connection with the purchase of facility
located in Billerica, Massachusetts for $2.8
million. The building will be redeveloped by
a client for the manufacture of
pharmaceutical products. This project also
involved a $20 million industrial
development bond. The client is currently
based in Bedford and expects building
renovations to be completed by the end of
2011. Tasks included the negotiation of the
purchase agreement, title research and
zoning due diligence, as well as review of
and a legal opinion regarding certain
mortgage documents.
In May, L&D assisted a client in connection
with a refinancing of a 120 unit apartment
complex in Plymouth, NH. The lender was
a trust company, based in
Connecticut.
L&D recently represented a client in a long
term lease transaction for a gasoline
service station and convenience store in
Bourne, Massachusetts. The client will
renovate the facility and open in time for
the summer season.
Ongoing projects include representing an out
of state non-profit entity in the pending
sale of land in Wakefield, Massachusetts
which the buyer intends to develop into
approximately 48 residential subdivision
lots and a pending agreement for the
purchase of land in southeastern
Massachusetts for a medical office building.
